Well here we are in the middle of August, and I wanted to share with you one of my newest finds that I am really loving at the moment. I found this company Iris&Romeo on my Instagram feed a few months back; and on a lark decided to order one of their products. So glad I did! I have been using their foundation most days and really enjoying how it looks on my skin. So here goes: a little blurb about Iris&Romeo and their great foundation product: Best Skin Days.
So like most of us who are working from home these days, I wear little to no makeup - until I start talking with a client on a zoom call - and then I want to show the best me I can online…..well the best me only with a bit more ‘oomph’ than just bare skin alone. And that’s where Iris&Romeo comes in and their amazing foundation product: Best Skin Days. A small, but eco conscious company Iris&Romeo seems to know exactly what the modern person is looking for when it comes to health conscious, one product beauty.
A little info on the company: Michele Gough Baril had a career in the beauty industry, but in 2012 was burnt out and decided to leave her home in LA and venture to Northern California, when a friend offered her a place to stay in the wine country. And so she journeyed north with her newly acquired horse and soul mate Romeo. While recalibrating in her new world she realized that she wasn’t done with the beauty industry, she just wanted to change the narrative on what beauty could do. In her words: ‘Why not tell the real story that is: every woman, no matter how young, old, tall, short, skinny, fat, fair or deep, is infinitely beautiful as long as she is following her TRUTH.’

What it does: Best Skin Days is a 5-in-1 formula that includes: a serum, moisturizer, blue light protector, sun screen all delivered in an extremely light weight foundation with sheer to medium coverage. When I first got my package from them, they only had 6 shades, but recently they have expanded to 12 .
Look: As stated on the website and product tested by moi: you get a soft dewy complexion that evens out skin tone and helps you look great on zoom calls. But the finish is still light enough that at home you feel put together in case you need to run out and do errands, without a heavy product on your face - especially in summer.
Ingredients: Rose oil, vitamin C, apple enzymes, green tea, coconut water and shea butter to name a few of the nourishing ingredients found in this product. And formulated without: parabens, phalthates and chemical sunscreens.
